HINCKLEY YACHT SERVICE TRAVEL LIFT PIER

This travel lift was built for Hinckley Yacht Services in Thunderbolt, Georgia. We drove concrete pile with concrete pile caps and concrete box beams in order to construct several travel lifts that are used to haul boats out of the water. At the same time, we also constructed walkways on each side of the piers to allow staff to handle lines, work on the boats in the slips, and assist in moving the yachts in and out of the water. As the work progressed, Myrick Marine identified soft soils in the construction area. To solve this problem, we drove 12 timber piles with our Movax hammer and poured concrete approach slabs to facilitate the travel lift’s ability to get onto the piers. Our team’s quick action helped avoid any impact on the business’ daily operations.
