Myrick Marine was asked to perform a salvage job on a tug and crane barge that had sunk in the Wilmington River. The Myrick 13060 crane barge with her American 9320 250 ton crane was used to first salvage the tug that was attached to the barge. Once the tug was recovered the crane barge had to be turned back over as she had landed on her side. After righting the barge the American 9320 picked up the barge enough to allow pumps to dewater the barge. This effort was done quickly to reduce any possible environmental hazards to the community.
